Yes, you read it right… The winner of this contest is going to win a coffee table book! Only vote ONCE per person(please no voting often) you are welcome to send this to friends and have them vote for their favorites too, if that happens to be your photo, that is great! There is no cash value to this prize, which, is meaning in fine print speak you can’t choose to get cash vs the book. But come on! These books are AWESOME! There is/was no purchase necessary, nothing you have had to do. This is just my favorites from 2009 and I wanted to pass on the fun and chance to win something great
I picked out only SOME of the standouts from the year. If you feel I have left you out(must have been taken in 2009), and you ought to be in this contest too, drop me a line at Julie@Juliepoole.com and I will add you. Do it quick though, as Voting ends Saturday January 9th, 2010 at 11:30pm. So, share this with your friends!!
One last thing…The poll is IP based and if you have a static IP, that goes through one router(which most homes and businesses do) it counts the entire place no matter the number of computers/users as *one*. Being I am not that techy, I have no idea how to change it. There have been questions about it, so, that is the answer
So, onto the contestants!

The year is going to kick off with the “Portraits for Hope” fundraiser. The Hope Center was established in 1996 to address the unmet needs of individuals infected with HIV-AIDS in Knox and surrounding 20 counties. Due to gaps in care for this population, Hope Center began developing and implementing consistent, practical, psychological and supportive care programs at no charge to patients and families affected by HIV-AIDS and other serious illnesses. Located in Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Hope Center is adjacent to physician offices. This location facilitates continuity of care between the hospital and home and allows patients to be followed from diagnosis through their last days.
So, the good news if you missed the Pet Portrait Fundraiser, you can join in on the Portraits for Hope! There will be more to come on this. Sign up for my newsletter and it will be emailed to you. I will blog about this again and please find me on facebook! I will be putting it on my “events”.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!!!!

I LURVE babies!!!! I am not sure if I may even enjoy photographing babies more than dogs
I really find them a blast though and Andrew was SO SO SO cute! You can’t look at these photos and not have your heart melt

These guys were hilarious! Barrett ought to be a model for kids Gap! He completely knew how to work the camera. Kona is a very handsome man himself. He and Barrett both had a great time wrestling and knocking down Barrett
Dogs and kids together are so much fun!

Yes, I have closed my appointment books. I had actually been totally booked for the last month, but I am such a softie I kept finding ways to make it work. I truly cannot work anymore appointments in at this point. It has been an incredible year and I am so thankful for everyone who has trusted me with their memories. I am looking forward to an even better 2010! A new decade! How cool is that?
Great news for those that are looking for portraits, I have a brand new charity to support. A very worthy cause and I hope everyone will tell their friends and come support it. Just in time for Valentine portraits. What a wonderful, thoughtful gift for valentines.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!!!!

I facebooked/Twittered about Sammy yesterday. All the people who love and care for him and I, would LOVE to give this guy a Christmas miracle and find him the perfect home. He has lived for the past year at Northshore Animal Hosptial I believe they got him out of a bad situation, malnourished and mistreated. You’d never know it when you meet him. He is a big, healthy happy guy. He is an outgoing, goofy boy who loves everyone and just wants you to pay attention to him. He knows sit, down, shake, and high five. He is completely crate trained and possibly house trained(he has not been loose in a house to know) I would imagine he would have no problems becoming housetrained. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
He needs a home that has a fenced yard that he can enjoy running in, a nice bed in the house and someone who will love him. He would probably do well with a laid back female dog, but, probably not with any dominant dogs. Older children would be fine, but, smaller ones he would probably knock over on accident.
If you think you could be Sammy’s perfect home, please call the clinic at 865-769-8800.

Elvis the bulldog is a miracle walking around. He has a serious heart problem and each day is a gift for him. He just had his 2nd birthday, when they had only given him to his first birthday to live. Thankfully they were wrong!

Raven has been coming to see me for I think three years. He is one of those special cats that loves people, settles well anywhere and it just a cool cat!
