Sam was one of those dogs that come in and are just very wise. I would definitely say he is an old soul. He was a great model and I enjoyed he and Mitzi a ton. It was even more fun when Mitzi, her mom and I were going through the photos

Amigo is owned by Gary Sanderson and Kara Disbrow. They have been long time clients of mine. Many probably know the story of Amigo, an endurance arabian that ended up with a tree in his side. He was given a 5% chance of living, to which he has shown to be an incredible fighter! He has overcome many obstacles and has defied the horrible odds against him.

Now, on to the good stuff!! This is another 100% fundraiser (of the creative fee) What is different about it is 1) you can choose an on location shoot. 2) These are full session, not quickie mini sessions. I would LOVE to have trainers and barn owners organize a day especially for their barn to benefit Amigo. It can be kids, families, dogs, horses or a mix. These are not mini sessions, it is a full session. The creative fee is ONLY $50(normally $100). BUT, that is $50 directly to Amigos mounting vet bills(~$30,000 though offset greatly by donations) The dates for this are April 1st-31st, don’t wait to schedule, as it will fill up!!
If you were looking for a cool springtime session, here ya go! Always something new and fun here! I try to add in a little help to others along the way 
Gary has requested that the donation be sent to his paypal account http://Paypal.com to katpirate@comcast.net Once you have done that, just forward a copy of the receipt to me and we will get your appointment all set up! If you do not have paypal, you can give a check or credit card to me and I will send it to their account.
This was a quick visit down to UT just so I could get a few photos for this blog post. He is awfully cute even behind bars!
Penny is such a cute feminine beagle. She has had it pretty hard in life, with a skin disorder called Cutaneous Asthenia(Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)where the skin rips easily. She has scars from her many surgeries but that doesn’t detract from her beauty. She is loved dearly by her person Marilyn and that is all that really matters.

What a couple of different guys these two are! You have Sammy, the wild and crazy mr personality maltese and Cheyenne, the dignified reserved lab mix. Both were wonderful to photograph and adorable to boot

Spencer is a beautiful black and white parti color cocker spaniel. He was very cooperative with the shoot and you could tell how much he loved his people. Cockers always seem to be the smartest, most loyal dogs. Here are some highlights from his shoot!

I love having the whole family in the studio(or out) It shows how important all family members are. Not to mention how adorably cute kids are with their dogs!!! A prime example here

aRt doGraphi was even more successful than I could have hoped! There is a big ole pile of Science Diet dog food sitting in my studio for me to deliver over to Young-Williams Animal Center
Thank you so much to everyone who participated. Without people who will give of themselves, places like Young-Williams wouldn’t be able to do the great work they do. I hope everyone pats themselves on the back..and enjoys their photos

I wanted to share my interview that Erin Donovan did with me on Monday. Its all about aRt doGraphi coming up this weekend! If you haven’t made your appointment, make sure to do so ASAP. Saturday is almost booked and there are a couple Sunday afternoon appointments left.
There is a change in what to bring for the donation. When the fundraiser idea started, Young Williams was desperate for food pantry food. They needed smaller bags to hand out to to the community. Thanks to a huge response from generous people, their food pantry is now full. They have requested that people donate Science Diet instead as that is what they feed their shelter dogs.
So, instead of 2 10lb bags, please bring a 20lb bag of Science diet and if you have multiple dogs, add in some science diet cat food(they have smaller bags) or something like that!

My favorite greyhounds! (and Kai) This is the first time I have had the good fortune to photograph all 5 of Brooke’s kids. It has always been just the greyhounds. As always, they were lots of fun and super photogenic.
