Every horse deserves to be loved by a girl..

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

And so do cute standard poodles!  The Lucases had their photos done by me in 2007.  The girls have grown so much, I did not recognize them!  Crazy.  Anyhow, look how beautiful they are!

Look at the girls back in 2007!!

Luke, Justin and Spike

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

What a great bunch of guys. They came in for photos for their Mom.  That really shows how much they love her.  :-) This was a great session for me, as not only did I get to show them with Spike, the awesome Lab, but, Luke in his Firefighting gear! I love that sort of stuff!  Enjoy the video and photos :-D

A tribute to those loved and lost

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Those of us with pets, who love our pets dearly, know the grief over the loss of them.  For those who do not have pets, it is something that is hard to understand.  I do understand, having gone through it a couple of times in the last 5 years.  I wanted to recognize a few that I know have passed on.  Memories bring back the love and some of the pain.  Though, its comforting to have those memories to treasure. I have ONE professional photo of my very special dog Rio. It was taken in 1991 and my Mom has it at her house. That one photo means the world to me.  I have snapshots of her, but, just the one professional photo.

I will start with my own, this is Rufus and he was very very special to my son Taylor.

This is my veterinarian’s dog, and she said this was her last good day

Anne’s sweet Slurpy

Tosca and Rida, Kitty’s beautiful standard Schnauzers

Gizzy, a very special miniature schnauzer that helped to watch my kids when they were little

Robin’s Izzie

Kim’s Ruffian

Mary’s Phase Ya

Kara’s dog who I cannot remember the name. I apologize

All three of the dogs below were owned by the Kusters and passed not long after these photos

Taz,

Ch. Kachina’s Constant Comment

Ch. Anndra’s Town Square V Kachina

This horse was killed in an accident shortly after this beautiful photo

Scout, lost to a mysterious illness that was never known

Hallie and Jake, who were dearly loved

The Caughrons beautiful girl, who unfortunately was poisoned and died suddenly. She was a HABIT therapy dog and such a loss

I’ll end with scanned snaphots of Rio. A dog who saved my life more than once.  I don’t even want to think of what would have happened to me. Mom doesn’t even know about those times.

Yes, this is me riding a horse at almost 3 years old, who is now in his 20′s. I believe this was one of his first rides.  He is such a cool horse even now.

Babies and Dogs, can’t tell ya which is my most favorite, as I love both of them!  I have known Lori and her family since Lori was in grade school.  Its amazing how life moves along so quickly.  I think she was my kids age when I met her, and now she has had her own baby.  Congratulations Lori and Stanley!

Eeghana

An iguana was a first for me.  To have an 18 year old, 5ft1in one was just over the top cool.  I don’t know much about Iguanas but, it was so neat photographing her.  I didn’t know they are vegetarians, I didn’t realize their scales will cut you if you go backward on them(like a shark) and I didn’t realize they had tiny sharp teeth that shed and grow more!

Here are a few of my favorites and Eeghana’s video…

Diedra and Ruby…

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Springer spaniels are about one step away from human.  Ruby was so smart and funny.  Her little wheels never stopped turning.   So pretty with her deep red coat.  She is the second Springer Spaniel I have photographed and they definitely have a typey personality. She reminded me a lot of Bosco(though he is black and white)

On to the good part.. The photos!

Amanda and Toby

I love chihuahuas! They are so cute and little and fun to work with.   I think I may hate Amanda though, as she looks that good with no makeup on :-) I am very jealous!  In all honesty Amanda is sweet and beautiful and I don’t hate her at all.  My job is so fun because I get to meet the most wonderful people!
