Claire and her family…

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Claire is an adorable Bichon Frise that I photographed when she was a puppy, back in 2007.  Claire is all grown up and beautiful now and very loved by Paul and Michelle.  I thoroughly enjoyed the perfect day we had!

Happy Memorial Day…

Friday, May 28th, 2010

I had the honor of photographing Veterans for Young-Williams Animal Center this week.  It was truly an amazing experience for me.  I know it sounds like a big ole line, that I am so grateful for my occupation, but, I just feel so LUCKY I can do this.   I get to be a part of people’s lives and tell wonderful stories for them.   I cannot express how wonderful it was to get to photograph these people, from US Air Force Senior Airman and Knoxville Police Officer Jason Boston to U.S. Army veteran, Louise Owens who was a nurse in the Army in WWII.  I have gotten to know retired US Army Sgt. 1st Class, Joe Marti through photographing animals at the shelter and photographing his family with his pit bulls.  Nathan Weinbaum, a United States Army Veteran who served in the submarine service from 2002 to 2006 and is now Deputy Veteran Service Officer for Knox County who is gracing the front of my website for Memorial day.

I am not a writer, and I tend to write how I think, which, can be very fast and disjointed.  Please enjoy the photos, the video(get your kleenex) and Remember why we celebrate memorial day.  Honor those that have fought for your freedom, those that are doing so now, those that are still alive today to tell the stories and those that lost their lives doing so.

WBIR came out and did a story on the veterans which can be seen here

I have what branch of the military each person served in and their names on my facebook album

Three generations

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Of adorable, beautiful papillons.   Saphhire is the grandmother and a european import.  Beautiful sable and white.  Glory is her daughter, who is a more delicate version of her in black and white.  Annie is the baby of the group and Glory’s puppy.  She is also the wild child and Ms personality.  :-D

Photo sessions are hard work!!

The monthly contests begin….

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Since I just decided to do this, I am going to do Jan-April in this first one.  I couldn’t see just starting with just April. Since I am doing that, I am going to award FOUR restaurant gift certificates.  Places 1-4 will receive a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant.  I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a night out???   The rules are the photos had to be taken by me, and had to be taken within these dates.  From this point forward, I will do monthly contests.  There were a couple people who visited me more than once during the first quarter so they get more than one entry.

The poll I use only allows ONE VOTE PER IP address.  That means if you work at a company, its more than likely every computer has the same IP address.  Tell your friends to vote from home!  At home, you are going to have only one IP address.  So, tell your spouses to vote from work!  That’s the way it works and I have no control on it. If I could program a perfect poll I’d probably be rich. I can’t, so, I go with what it already done

Forward this to your friends, forward this to your enemies, forward this to anyone who will vote for you!! Polls will be open until midnight the 31st.   You will receive your certificate via email.  Print it out and go have a nice dinner.

FOUR chances guys!! Vote!!!

Look at the pictures and the poll is below.  You may only vote for one.  If you do not have a photo in this and you had your photo taken by me between 1-1-10 and 4-30-10, email me and it WILL be added! (beware of corny captions)

Eeghana Redux

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

In the quest to show off Eeghana’s blue neck, Melodie brought her back in a second time. We warmed up the studio, did the session later in the day, but, Eeghana in true feminine style had her own ideas.  She was a little more blue, but, not her vibrant blue she can be at home.  We tried and we got some really cool photos anyhow :-)

I redid her video and it moves a little quickly, but, it has them all in there. Just don’t blink!

If you want to see the originals, go to Eeghanas original post

Maggie Mae

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Maggie Mae is probably the prettiest, happiest, most outgoing cocker spaniel girl I have had the pleasure to photograph! How can this happiness not be infectious?

Maggie came in for one last set of photos while she still was in full show coat.  As of Tuesday, she will be groomed down to a much more manageable clip!  So pretty though!

Vicky and friends….

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Vicky had the luck of the last pretty weekend evening we have had in a while!  My last two Saturdays have been rained out!  We were concerned for this Friday evening, but, it was *gorgeous*!  Anyhow, had lots of fun with all of Vicky’s many pretty critters :)
