Playing catch up!

July 9, 2009

I am so behind I am about to pass myself :) Here are a bunch of animotos from recent sessions. The first two are of The Carmicheal and the Miller Families before the Work For Food fundraiser. The great part of my job is that I feel like I get to make new friends all the time!

Dog days of summer…

June 20, 2009

Those hot steamy days are finally here! I have been very remiss in updating my blog, so, this is going to be a biggie! I have some upcoming news, so, keep an eye out on here!

I’ll start with the most recent, a trip to Resaca, GA to photograph Justin Smithey’s lovely Kennels in the Country. I could happily live in with the dogs in those kennels! Wow! Beautiful!

Then to the Gray, TN show. I was hired to do portraits of a multi generations of whippets. Pawley is 14 years young, was winners bitch and best puppy at the 1996 American Whippet club national and has produced beautiful babies, who themselves have been beautiful producers. She is pictured with Calvin Perry, of Appraxin kennels, who was her breeder, Kitty Williams of Wilhaus whippets who is her owner and also the breeder of the progeny. Also pictured are the lucky owners, the Dailey’s,who own Anson and Amy who owns Tyler.

We can’t forget McGuire’s Momma and sister’s visit. McGuire is a Pawley granddaughter as Princess is a Pawley daughter. They had fun lounging on our couches and Taylor was thrilled to have them sleep with him

$99 Special!!! MUST SEE!!

Ever wonder what to get mom? I know I do. Well, lately it has been photographs of her grandkids, but, how about something different? How about a special treat with a professional make up artist, Shanna Hinchey-Norris and a photo session with me? Sound expensive? It could be but, Shanna and I would like to make mom’s feel beautiful together. Not only does it include both makeup and the session, it includes THREE web files for facebook, myspace, websites or just emailing to family. Portraits may be purchased in addition.

Running at the same time is the same offer for UT Opera and Theater students. Same deal, same weekends, same great deal! I can also design and have printed professional comp cards if desired.

You don’t have to have human kids to take part in this. If you want to gift this to someone special, I am sure they would love it. Nothing like mother’s day to bring on the blues. Recognize your special person with a glamorous day to remember. Family members welcome, pets welcome, for more than one make up session, additional charges will apply

I will be booking the weekends of May 16th and 17th and the following weekend of the 23rd adn 24th. There are limited sessions so book early! All mother’s day gifts will have a lovely gift certificate to present to the lucky recipient.

Call or email to reserve your space!

Franklin, TN show…

March 18, 2009

I ran down for just the afternoon to take photos of a couple of whippets and a Staffordshire Bull Terrrier. Anyone who has ever taken photos in a parking lot, surely can understand how daunting it can be to find a nice setting. Where there is a will there is a way! It just takes a little imagination! Doesn’t it look like we were in a country meadow? Shot from a different angle you would have seen all the cars and RV’s! :D

First is Cornerstone Sol Invictus who won a major and Best of Breed with his 12 year old handler that day!

I have been putting out teasers on Facebook, letting people know I had a big announcement. Well, we finally have the beginnings of a webpage up, so, its out. I have joined Images By Design Group Which consists of Wade Payne and Lisa Norman-Hudson.

What does this mean to my clients? It means a different studio, with no stairs. For most, the stairs were not an issue, but, I could see that they could be. It is a great location, in West Knoxville, right off of Ebenezer and Westland Drive.

Go to their website at Images By Design and read on both Wade and Lisa’s accomplishments. I am honored to be a part of their group! I can’t wait to have clients in the new studio!
