Southern 2011….

September 29th, 2011

The Southern, my favorite specialty of the year!  Beautiful fall colors, wonderful parks, cool weather.  I will be available for outdoor location portraits Thursday-Saturday.  Atlanta is full of amazing places to go.  I’d love to do a city scene shoot too.

I am keeping the session at a low $250 which includes 3 high resolution digital files for advertising use, one ad design and if you book this before the 5th, I will add in 25 custom designed single sided Christmas  cards(and my cards are beautiful).  I will only have time for 2-3 dogs per day, so, there are basically 6-9 spots open.  Weather is a factor too.  So, first booked gets priority! I do prefer later in the day for the golden evening light.

Please pass this note on to friends you think might be intersted.  I will not overbook, as it is unfair to others.  Reserve your spot ASAP.

On another note… What would YOU like to see on my blog? Do you want to see your sessions highlighted here, to share with your friends? Would you rather see highlights on my Facebook page? Do you prefer the blog to be only news items? I am up for anything, let me know with your comments below or email me at Julie@JuliePoole.com

Just to add pretty pictures, here are two photos done in Atlanta. One at the National, one at Piedmont Park. Both were covers of Sight and Scent :)

Its that time of year again!

September 13th, 2011

Its that time of year again! Yes, time to think about Christmas. I know it seems really early, but, time goes so quickly the next thing you know its December! Do you have a hard time with buying gifts for family? My mother is the hardest person in the world to buy for, so, each year she gets a coffee table book filled with her grandkids photos. She is able to look back on the years of them growing up. Its the one thing I have found she loves every year!

This is the best time of the year to come in for portraits because A) the creation fee is HALF off and B) it is a 100% tax deductible donation to the charity of your choice!!! Want to help animals in need but can’t foster? Come get portraits made, make the check out to the charity, as long as they are a 501(3)C, it is a tax deduction and you have donated $50 of kindess and help to the charity! Not only that but you have done something for yourself at the same time. Win Win all the way around

This is going on from October 1st through December 1st. Why December 1st? After that point, I won’t be able to give you Christmas delivery. Weekends book up fast, and the appointments are limited, so, call or email me early to reserve the best time for you! These are not mini sessions. They are a full studio session. I can do location shoots, but, there will be a travel fee added(payable to me, separate from the donation)

If my equine clients would like to get together and do this, I will block off time for you and waive the travel fee! I need at least 3 clients to waive the travel fee.

I look forward to seeing you in the studio! Remember, all are welcome… kids, parents, dogs, cats, YOURSELF!  If you are a charity, SPREAD THE WORD!! There is no easier fundraiser your group can do.  All you have to do is send people for portraits and they write the check to your organization.  All you have to do is put the checks in the bank!  Please feel free to ask many of the recipients such as Young Williams Animal CenterSmall Breed Rescue of East TNThe Humane Society of East TNTn Valley Golden Retriever Rescue,Adopt a GoldenAnimal WorksBoston Terrier RescueEast TN Border Collie Rescue,German Shepherd Rescue and many many many more! If you are a rescue group, forward this on to your adopters!

This came as a total shock to me! I had no idea I was in in the running for any award.  Pretty neat surprise! I have to say I am honored to be Ken Schwall’s Woman of the year.  Though, I think maybe Hazel should have had it.  :)
